Port of Finale Ligure beach

The Beach of the Port of Finale Ligure is also known as " Beach of San Donato ", is considered as the most beautiful beach in the area, is located within the municipality of Finale Ligure, in the western Liguria, in the province of Savona, near of the cliff and close to the public port, built starting in 1964. It is a beautiful beach, quite wide but quiet, of medium-grained gray sand, with pebbles on the shore, with crystal-clear and transparent sea, with shallow waters very quickly, making it therefore not very suitable for families with children or inexperienced swimmers. The beach of the Port of Finale Ligure is of a beauty worthy of a postcard view, for the enchantment of its seabed, for the tranquility that it gives, and for the suggestive panorama with the Castle perched on the rock, and is divided into a part of equipped beach with bathing establishment and a part of free beach, very quiet. Even the stretch of the bathing establishment is very quiet as the umbrellas are positioned well apart from each other. This beach is also very popular with windsurfing, kitesurfing and surfing enthusiasts, as it is often breezy. The Port of Finale Ligure beach can be reached by taking the A10 Genova – Ventimiglia motorway, exiting at Finale Ligure. The only shortcoming of this stretch of sea is the small parking lot behind the beach, which can only accommodate a few cars, and the other nearest parking is about a kilometer and a half away. A walk connects Capo San Donato to the town center. The services offered by this beach are toilets, showers, beach equipment rental, bar kiosk, restaurant. The Beach of the Port of Finale Ligure is included in the area known as the " Sanctuary of the Cetaceans " and scientific expeditions often depart from the small harbor next to the beach.
