Only a few days to go before the G20s of Italian beaches, the second itinerant summit that last year was organized for the first time in Bibione (read the article to learn more: G20s Italian beaches: Summit on Italian tourism); numerous thematic tables organized in which 26 Italian municipalities will participate as well as experts in the tourism sector.

Also Trovaspiagge will be present this year at the G20s in Castiglione della Pescaia to give its contribution in sustainability and innovation for tourism in the Italian coasts.

G20s of Italian beaches 2019: where?

The summit will take place from 18 to 20 September in Castiglione della Pescaia, Tuscany, at the Riva del Sole Congress and Meeting Center – Resort & SPA. It is a structure completely immersed in one of the most beautiful pinewoods of the Maremma with private beach, restaurants, wellness area and eight rooms that will host seminars, workshops and thematic tables on seaside tourism. It is a unique location of its kind because it is located in an area of ​​exceptional landscape, historical, archaeological and cultural interest.

Castiglione della Pescaia is one of the most famous seaside resorts of Tuscany, every year it welcomes millions of tourists with a heterogeneous accommodation offer that manages to please tourists of all ages and backgrounds and from this summer: it is also a of the first Tuscan seaside towns to be plastic free.

G20s of Italian beaches 2019: what will the topics be?

Following the signing of the adherent municipalities of the Memorandum of Understanding, which took place on 8 May in Rome at Palazzo Madama, the headquarters of the Italian Senate, it was decided to make the G20s a permanent and itinerant annual table .

The memorandum of understanding is a document signed by the twenty Italian municipalities that have the highest number of registered tourist presences and who participated in the G20s 2018 in Bibione. Following the last summit: guidelines were outlined to coordinate the various projects and initiatives and to improve, as a consequence, the national seaside tourism scene; all information collected within the memorandum of understanding.


Through the agreement protocol we wanted to contextualize all the activities to make it become a collaboration tool with the various institutions and institutions, bringing added value to the entire system. The September appointment will be a time of sharing and comparison to bring the actions defined by the protocol to a system and build a system that has a sustainable development of Italian seaside tourism at heart.

The three pillars on which the second G20s will be held on 18 September will be: accessibility, sustainability and innovation.

G20s of Italian beaches 2019: which municipalities will participate?

There are eight Italian regions involved in the G20s of Italian beaches: Campania (3), Emilia Romagna (7), Friuli-Venezia Giulia (2), Puglia (1), Sardinia (1), Sicily (1), Tuscany (5) and Veneto (6).

Although the traveling summit has retained the same name as last year, there are no longer 20 participating municipalities but 26: the new entries that will participate in the G20s 2019 in Castiglione della Pescaia will be: Arzachena (Sardinia), Rosolina (Veneto), Grosseto, Orbetello, Viareggio (Tuscany), and Taormina (Sicily).
