Awarded the Blue Flag by the Foundation for environmental education (FEE Italy): the beach of the Gulf of Saline of Palau is one of the most appreciated of this stretch of Sardinian coast especially by families with children because it has low and sandy sea bottoms that allow the little ones at home to play on the shoreline in peace.

The beach is narrow and long, divided into three bays that form the Gulf and composed of fine-grained white sand with the salt characteristics behind it that gave the beach its name. The sea has an iridescent color ranging from turquoise to intense blue and the water is so crystal clear that it allows the practice of snorkeling and scuba diving . The beach is mostly free, however there are bathing establishments where you can hire equipment such as deckchairs, umbrellas and sunbeds and are located on the northern section of the bay. Among the major visitors to the Gulf of Saline beach in Palau there are sports lovers like windsurfing and kitesurfing because it is subject to winds suitable for the practice of such sports; those who would like to practice them for the first time can take lessons at one of the largest sailing schools in the area located behind the marina.
