Fornaci Beach

The Fornaci beach is one of the main beaches of Savona, in Liguria, and is mostly managed by the beach establishments where you can hire equipment such as deckchairs, umbrellas, sunbeds and equipment for water sports. The beach is about one kilometer long and consists of light sand of fine grain size mixed with gravel. The seabed is low and gently sloping making it pleasant to swim in the sea even for inexperienced swimmers. The Fornaci di Savona beach has received numerous Blue Flags, becoming one of the most awarded Ligurian and Italian seaside resorts by FEE Italia . This coveted recognition by the Foundation for Environmental Education shows that the Furnaces can boast not only clean water and beach but also numerous services offered to visitors with an eye on the impact on the environment.
