The beach of Fontania is one of the smallest in Gaeta, especially when compared with other famous beaches in the area: the Serapo Beach and the Arenauta Beach . The beach is protected by two headlands on the sides and is composed of fine sand with fine grain size and rocks that emerge from the water and make Fontania unmistakable. The stretch of free beach is lower than that given in concession to the beach establishment, this, in addition to its small size, makes Fontania one of the most crowded beaches of Gaeta. Frequented by tourists of all ages and backgrounds, it is particularly appreciated by those who love scuba diving due to the presence of the Nave del Serapo and Punta Trinità rocks that host numerous species of marine flora and fauna to be admired. A curiosity : on the beach of Fontania di Gaeta you can admire the remains of the villa of the Roman consul Gneo Fonteo dated around the first century AD

Wonderful beach and wonderful home made food and drinks.
Purtroppo la spiaggia non risulta più libera ma semilibera perché è stata quasi tutta occupata da ombrelloni e lettini privati, ciò comporta l’obbligo di predere tutto in affutto.
