Ischia Porto, NA
The Cartaromana beach of Ischia is one of the least known of the Campania island. Located in the southern area near the rocks of Sant'Anna in Ischia Ponte, it was awarded the Green Flag by Italian pediatricians for beaches suitable for children. show more
The beach of Cartaromana is small and composed of very fine sand and rocks on the water, right in front of the Aragonese Castle . The beach is frequented above all by lovers of scuba diving and snorkeling because they can delight in admiring the seabed rich in flora and fauna and the ruins of the submerged city of Aenaria inside the Marine Archaeological Area .
Cartaromana is also suitable for children because it gently slopes down, allowing the little ones to bathe in peace. Inside the Bay of Cartaromana there are several coves and caves that can be reached both by sea and by land, the descent into the water takes place thanks to platforms equipped with stairs.
A curiosity: Cartaromana, like the entire island of Campania, is rich in natural spas; it is possible in fact to bathe in the pools of sulphurous water present both on the sandy shore and in the water just a few meters from the shore.
