Capitello is a fraction of the municipality of Ispani located between Policastro Bussentino and Villammare.
The beach appears to be narrow and long and protected by breakwater reefs which have the task of mitigating the erosive action of the sea. The beach is mostly free but there are bathing establishments where you can rent chairs, sun beds and umbrellas. In the immediate vicinity of the beach there are numerous accommodation and restaurant facilities, in fact it is a seaside resort rich in services and awarded with the prestigious Blue Flag by FEE Italy (Foundation for the environmental education).
To see: the sighting tower of the 16th century erected on the coast to protect the territory from Saracen attacks.
To reach the beach of Capitello, you need to reach the town of Ispani. By train: regional transport towards Vallo della Lucania, get off at the Castelnuovo stop and then continue with the buses offered by the SIMET company. Ispani can also be reached by car, using the A3 motorway and the E45 road.
