The beaches of Marsala are located along the coast of the town of the same name, on the western tip of Sicily and in the province of Trapani, a wonderful area dotted with coves and small and large beaches, white sand and crystal clear sea, immersed in a context made of traditions and history as only in the islands can be found. It is not easy to suggest which is the best among the beaches of Marsala, which from the Arabs was called "Port of God" for the beauty of its sea, it seems to be in a corner of Paradise. The great director Antonioni has chosen one of these beaches for the spot created for the promotion of the Sicily Region and its sea. The beaches of Marsala are partly free beaches and partly equipped beaches and bathing establishments, easily accessible from the town center by public transport or by bicycle, or by car for those coming from outside. The coast of Marsala is divided into the northern coast, formed by the lagoon of the Stagnone Islands, where there are also the salt pans, and which ends at Birgi, a fishing town; and south coast, which hosts the thousands and thousands of visitors to the beaches of Marsala. Punta Tramontana The beach of Punta Tramontana is located north of Marsala, is a very long stretch of beach located within the "Protected Natural Reserve" of the Stagnone, a lagoon of 20,000 square meters. The beach is very white and the water is very clear with tones on the turquoise, with a shallow bottom that slopes gently, making it suitable for families with children and for less experienced swimmers. This is a quiet beach, never too crowded. San Teodoro beach San Teodoro beach is a beach located north of Marsala, still within the "Protected Natural Reserve" of the Stagnone, which changes continuously during the day depending on the rise or fall of the tide level. In fact, during the morning hours the water comes to lick the ankles, to get up progressively during the hours of the day, to then return to the low tide in the hours after sunset. During low tide hours it is possible to reach on foot the islet in front of the beach. The beach Beach Marausa Marausa is located approximately 9 km from Trapani, and is one of the most famous beaches in the area. It is a beach about 3 kilometers long with white sand and very shallow waters that gently slope down, so this beach is also very suitable for families with children. From the Marausa beach it is possible to see the Egadi Islands, which certainly deserve a visit during the holidays. The Marausa beach is in turn divided into many small beaches, such as the Tritoni beach, characterized by its amplitude and shallow waters; the Mulino beach, which has no parking and is therefore less crowded than the others, although no less beautiful; Triangolo beach and Torre beach. Lido Signorino Beach Among the beaches of Marsala the beach of Lido Signorino also stands out, located in the southern part of Marsala and which is characterized by the large beach that rises right next to the town, with very thin white sand and emerald sea. The beach of Lido Signorino offers many services, such as refreshment points and beach and sports equipment rentals.
