Quartu Sant'Elena, CA
28°
The beach of Mari Pintau is located on the south-eastern coast of Sardinia, in the municipality of Quartu Sant'Elena and is part of the beaches of Geremeas . The beach is similar to that of the neighboring Kala and Moru Beach and Is Canaleddus, narrow and long and composed of sand mixed with gravel and pebbles of different sizes and colors. Behind it there is a lush pine forest where you can stop during the hottest hours of the day and the beach has facilities for equipment rental such as deckchairs, sunbeds and umbrellas. The sea has shallow waters and a particular iridescent color that goes from the turquoise of the shore to the blue of the open sea, unique colors from which the name of the beach derives: Mari Pintau means sea painted in Italian. An ideal place for water sports such as scuba diving and snorkeling : the Mari Pintau beach has been repeatedly awarded the Blue Flag by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).
The pebbly stretch on the right of Mari Pintau beach is usually dedicated to naturism .
